I had the pleasure of spending the late morning over at The White Gown and chatting with Erica while taking photographs of their boutique and gorgeous dresses. They will be in New York Magazine on a feature of businesses on Jay Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The White Gown staff has been very good to me and they will take excellent care of any bride in need of that perfect gown. I will make sure an post the article and photos. Until then, here are a few for your viewing pleasure…

Hooray for Natalia!
Stunning Natalia (of Natalia and Chris) found herself in most of the Brides local magazines under the ‘When Experts Wed’ section. If you pick up your area’s Brides magazine, be it Chicago, South or North California, etc, you will see Natalia. The article features Natalia as ‘The Culinary Pro’ she is. I am thrilled to have my photos in there too. Congrats, Natalia!

Just a little family bragging…
My lovely sister-in-law came up with the cutest Save the Dates. She and her fiance found a bunch of old unused New York postcards at the Brooklyn Flea and her Mom created a stamp design containing their necessary wedding information. They then had the stamp created in the East Village. They are adorable and perfect for their day, theme and style. I am thrilled to be her ‘right hand’ so you will probably hear some ’shout outs’ to her from here. High five, Nikki!
*These photographs are the handywork of her artistic fiance, Jeremy Shugar.

A few thanks and hugs
I am finally back in NYC. I forgot what winter is after being in Southern California for a couple of weeks. Sigh….back to the “20 degrees but feels like 9 degrees”. Below is a photo I had to snap at our layover in Chicago to “de-ice”.
Before I start posting again for this new year, I want to give mad hugs to Classic Bride, Silver Lining, and Wedding Ideas and Tips for featuring Matt and Blair’s engagement photos on their blogs, and again to Classic Bride and Sparkle for featuring Clifford and Stephanie.
I want to give an extra special European cheek kiss to Classic Bride. Sarah, of Classic Bride, is so lovely. Cheers, Sarah!

Here’s to 2010…
As we are all anticipating the holidays and snow storms, I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who celebrated in 2009 with me. It was a joy and pleasure to be a part of all of your 2009 adventures and love.
2010 is lining up to be a stupendous year, including Puerto Morreles, Chicago, New York, Pennsylvania and beyond… I look forward to all it brings!
I am headed to (the warmer) West Coast to spend Christmas with my family, but will be checking emails and phone messages. If you have something to say, send it over!
As 2009 wraps up, here is an old Chinese proverb to mull over…
“Looking for a fish? … Don’t climb a tree.”

Matt & Blair’s Engagements * West Village * 11.15.2009
Alright, I am skipping ahead again and landing on the adorable Matt and Blair. Matt and Blair are beyond cute enough on their own, but we also utilized Blair’s yellow bike for a few scenes. It was a gorgeous fall day and rather toasty out. Blair’s smile could light up my entire Christmas tree when it comes time. We had a great time and visited spots in the West Village that held special memories for the two, including where they first kissed. Along the way, we stopped for some milk and cookies. Sounds nice, huh? Matt and Blair are sweeter than pecan pie and I look forward to their wedding coming up in April at the Housing Works Bookstore in Soho (my favorite bookstore in NYC to boot).

Lacey & Clint Wed * Central Park * 10.24.2009
Clint and Lacey wed on a very, and I mean very, rainy October 24th. They recently relocated to Manhattan and wanted a very New York City feel to their photos. The rain limited our options, especially for Lacey in her stunning dress, but we worked magic. I took them into Eisenberg’s Deli, one of the oldest delis in NYC, and love the results. The couple hired me to photograph portraits and the ceremony. Then they sprinted off to get dry and celebrate at Fig and Olive Wine Bar. Clint and Lacey beamed whenever within eyesight of each other…adorable and inspiring.
